The latest release of Novell/SUSE is on the scene, and in my humble opinion, it’s the most rock-solid version of the open-source operating system. Wanna take a wild guess who’s gearing up to get it running on their PC?
This new version of my favorite Linux distribution is really stepping up its game. Susie, as I affectionately call it, was the one that got me into the world of open-source software. It’s been so rewarding with each new release of Suse – my computer just seamlessly recognizes it without any hiccups.
Thanks to this distro, I gradually discovered, in a very visual way, that there was life beyond from that nonsense called Windows proprietary OS whose name I don’t even want to remember.
For me, despite dabbling Debian and Gentoo, Susie holds a unique place both in my heart and hard drive.”
When it comes to Linux distros, opinions vary, right? Some swear by Mandrake, and others find Ubuntu a breeze. For me, despite dabbling Debian and Gentoo, Susie holds a unique place both in my heart and hard drive. I’m genuinely thrilled about this new version –the upgrades are seriously and impressively remarkable!
Currently, Novell/Suse is doing its thing at version 10 now, but my adventure with it kicked off back in the 6.xx era. Right now, I’m playing around a bit, trying to make a cool thing happen: using Linux wirelessly on my laptop. If that pans out, I might just break free from the Micro$ux world and dive headfirst into the open-source software scene.
Despite the passage of time, Suse Linux always stands out as one of the best options to start from scratch.”
All its perks draw me back to this old friend once again. The potential it holds with the current partnership with Novell is one of the things catching my eye. Despite the passage of time, Suse Linux always stands out as one of the best options to start from scratch.
In case you’re not familiar with operating systems, no need to stress. For instance, my mother has never used Win2, and she’s had no trouble adjusting to her PC with Suse. So far, her computer is still running smoothly, without a single virus or crashes.
If you’re coming from Win2, understanding Susie shouldn’t be too challenging because it’s super user-friendly.
